Julee's Mojo Challenge

I needed an anniversary card and I thought Julee's sketch would work perfectly. There is so much white on the card the picture isn't great. I stamped the images in Versamark, then colored them with shimmer chalks, stamped over them again with Versamark and embossed with Glassy Glaze Enamel.

The Sun is Back and it's NOT 30 Below !!!

I don't usually show many pictures of our life here in Barrow, but the scene yesterday was hilarious! We got the boys a dog sled last year for Christmas and they have been bugging Darryl to take them out. We thought out of the two village dogs we have that the big male,part wolf manly dog would pull forever. Nothin doin , he tucked his tail between his legs and laid in the snow when the harness was put on him. Our sweet little girl dog pulled her heart out ! At one point my husband fell in the snow and pretended he was hurt, thinking that Cuckoluck would miraculously pull him home (like in the movie 8 Below !) Ha,Ha, She stood there looking at him like "yea, right" until he got off the sled. Then she pulled the kids home .

Techno Stamper Challenge

I needed a card for a wonderful sister in Christ who is having a tough time right now. I decided to use the layout for the Techno Stamper challenge. The paper ,ribbon and flower stamp are S-U the verse stamp is new from Sweet N Sassy.

Chrissy's Belli Challenge-Punch Animals !

This week Chrissy's Belli Challenge is to create a card using punches to make fun animals or bugs ! My first card came together quickly with the help of the Pond Pals set from Sweet N' Sassy Stamps . The second card was more of a challenge,I had it mostly done but I wanted to add more. I was blog surfing and I came across on Awesome site called Stamping with Markie's Mom . Her creations are fabulous so much detail ! One thing she does a lot is dots, so this is where I got the idea to finnish off my card with some dots. This card was done with Beate's sketch challenge. I love the simplicity of it, which you know I don't do simple very often. But that's the way I think Christian cards should be, you don't need anything else, just the cross, the message is simple ! This scripture stamp is new from Sweet N' Sassy.

Allison's Suggestive Challenge, Trees.

This week Allison's Suggestive Sunday Challenge was trees. I LOVE trees and the thing that I miss the most living in the arctic is the trees ! I chose one of my old standby sponged skies, it's a tecnique I use a lot. The sentiment is from Sweet N' Sassy Stamps .

Chrissy's Belli Challenge-Chipboard !

I love to do cards for challenges and it seems like there are a ton out there lately, so this one covers two ! The awesome sketch is from Kirsten at Confessions of a Naptime Stamper . This card will go to a wonderful friend who is a nurse and was a huge blessing to my family this week when one of my babies got very sick.

Pond Pals

I've been dying to play with the Pond Pals set from Sweet N' Sassy. I am really pleased how this turned out and I just love this paper Zoom, from Crate Paper. The sketch is from Linda Black at Celebration Moments. Thanks for an awesome sketch !

Our Annual Valentine's Banquet

Tonight was our church's annual Valentine's banquet. I look forward to it for some time, I try to use my stamping abilities to do something nice for the tables. This year when I saw Paper Tray's release I new it would be perfect to center my whole theme around. This cookie box (yes, I made them) and decorated chocolates were what I came up with. Hope you have a lovely valentine's day too !

Kirsten's Sketch Challenge

I bought this 7 Gypsies paper eons ago and never used a scrap of it. It's awesome paper, it just never seemed to match what I was doing. But low and behold it did match the yellows on the penguin ! Kirsten over at Confessions of a Naptime Stamper is having a sketch challenge, that is where I got the layout for this card.

Penguin Hugs

Okay, what's not to love about this new stamp set from Sweet N' Sassy !? For the background I ripped a rugged edge out of scrap paper and laid it where I wanted the snow line, then I just sponge-rubbed on three different colors of ink.
