New Sweet N' Sassy Scripture Stamps !!
Thursday, December 20, 2007
I make these Eskimo girls to sell at the shops here to tourists and it's time to make another batch ! I'll be soo sick of her by the time it's over. I really should mass produce one favorite layout, but that would be too easy. Something in me just won't duplicate a card, some may be similar , but never the same.

Caardvarks challenge : Rick Rack
Caardvarks is running a challenge this month to use rick rack. I went to my stamping room and found that most of my rick rack was in pastel colors, and I needed a baby shower card . So this was the outcome ! The stamp is close to my heart, I wanted the rick rack to show a little more , but the image was just too big !The paper is from a Stampin-up scrapbook kit, so cute.

SALT Challenge, Jesus , plus or minus nothing !
It seems so simple, but all of mans questions to all of mans problems can be answered with one awesome word, JESUS ! This card is for the SALT blog challenge. If you have this stamp set you know that it doesn't say Jesus, it says joy. I printed the esus on my cardstock with the computer, then inked my stamp except the oy in joy and used the stamp-a-magig to position it perfectly. The J is covered with crystal effects and microbeads.
My second reason for making this card is to show off this Cosmo Cricket Wonderland paper. Korin's store Sweet n' Sassy stamps is carrying it along with a growing selection of other great stuff !
Thanks for checking out my blog today, I hope you were inspired, God bless.
I've been Tagged !!
Korin Sutherland, over at Inkydoodle tagged me. While i've never participated in a tagging before , I knew I had to do this one. Korin is the sweetest person and she just opened her own awesome stamp store ! It's called Sweet n' Sassy Stamps, please check it out , she's got some great Cosmo Cricket papers out, and adding more goodies every day !!

A Name Frame for a Little Samoan girl
I was asked to make a name frame for a little girl turning one. They wanted it to look islandy so this it what I came up with. It came together so easily because of this old retired S-U paper that I found hiding in my stamp dungeon. It even had stickers to match so this really was an easy one. Hope she likes it !

Mojo Week #15
Well after a long break from stamping I really wanted to make something special for the mojo challenge. This took me the better part of the day,off and on , amidst homeschooling and babysitting kids. I hope you enjoy it , I had fun making it ! My husband bought me these memory box stamps the last time he was in Anchorage , he was thrilled when he saw this card because I actually used them ! I bought some of those clops that the ribbons are tied on from TAC a long time ago cuz they looked so cool in the catalog, but never used them. I knew when i saw Juliee's sketch that it would be perfect for it ! Thanks Juliee for helping me get my mojo going again !

A little Christmas cheer !
Sorry i've been so quiet lately. I put stamping on the back burner for a little while during the Christmas rush. In doing so I started focusing a lot more on homeschool, and God has given me such a renewed passion for teaching my three little energetic boys ! Everything has become easier and homeschool is now fun instead of a chore. I must say that this came by much prayer and organizing of my priorities ! So now I feel I can resume stamping with a happy rejuvenated priorities in line home !
That being said these stars are from a kit that I purchased from Basic Grey. You get enough pre cut and scored pieces to make three stars for around five dollars. They were quite intricate to assemble, but once you did the first one the others come together quickly.

Wise Men Still Seek Him
Just a quick post before the rush of Sunday begins tomorrow. Sorry i've been so quiet lately. This is a simple layout, but it took me a while to gamsol the three wisemen. It was fun to color for a change. The paper is christmas paper from Stampin-up two years ago, so unfortunatly it's retired. Have a blessed Sunday and remember that wise men still seek Him !

My Mojo is Back !
I think it took me longer to decide what stamp set to use than to actually put this card together ! I was choosing so carefully because this card is for Julee's mojo challenge and I REALLY want to win one of he awesome stamps sets from her store, Verve Visual ! The paper is Basic Grey's Figgy Pudding, which she sells in her store. The stamp is retired S-U and the little page pebbles I got from Ellen Hutson's store. The snow flakes stamped on the Soft Sky paper are embossed with Iridescent ice e.p.
Since I don't have craft soft sky ink I dipped my stamp first in Versamark and then in the Soft Sky ink. This allows you to emboss the image just as if you used craft ink or Versamark. I don't think that it hurts your stamp pad to do this, but I clean my stamp after each time I stamp so i'm not going back into the Versamark with Soft Sky ink on my stamp. Hope this makes sense, have any questions just ask, have a great night !

Lit'l Cowboy
I had a wonderful week. We hosted our churches first Missions conference, and the furtherest north one ever ! It was exciting to see the Lord stir the hearts of our people for the souls of people all around the world. We found that true J.O.Y. comes from putting Jesus first, Others second and Yourself last, joy. We heard from missionairies to Whales, and Italy and one I can not mention because of the dangerous state of that country and how they feel about christians. Thank God for a free country in which to live and serve Him !! There is so much in my heart, I can't quite find all the words to say. But with all that going on I hadn't had time to stamp. Usually when I neglect stamping or my blog for even a day,I get frustrated. But this week God put some things into perspective for me and stamping just didn't seem like such a high priority anymore. I know i'm rambling on, but I just know that if we would put God first He would bless us and give us the desires of our hearts.
Everything else i've made lately has seemed blah to me,I know because I rushed them just to stamp something to put up because I had neglected my blog for so long, but today I determined to put God first with Bible reading and prayer and then really give the kids my full attention with homeschool, we had fun actually and went above and beyond with some extra fun activities. Then to top it all off I had time to make this card and I really like how it turned our. Everything is T.A.C. But my point is that if you put God first he will make even your stamping projects turn out right !!!

Now i've used the paper on two projects and liked them ! Oh, and the Love sentiment was one of the things that came in my prize from Jen ! Thanks so much Jen, i'll post the rest of my goodies later !

My Wonderful Husband !
I always knew that I had married a wonderful man, but I didn't know just how much he appreciated me until he came home from Chicago with a stamping stash for me !!!Yea, that's what I said, mine and Nancy's husband voluntarill, without cooertion, searched out a scrapbooking store and went to town. When he got in the van at the airport he askes me with this silly grin on if I knew what a zupper was. Of course I didn't, then he looked a little worried, like maybe he'd bought something I wouldn't want. When we got home it was a Zutter Bind-it-All !! This desktop 2008 calendar is my first project. It's made with Basic Grey Periphery paper.Thank-you God for blessing me with a wonderful man, even if he didn't buy me anything !
Yay !!! my internet is fixed

Snow Fun
I have been wanting to do a shaker card for a while, but the patience required usually deters me. I've made them all sorts of ways, but they are always a pain. This one was easier though because I nested a plain and a scalloped nestabilities tegether on a sheet of magnetic paper, then ran it through the machine to make an easy frame. The paper and stamp are from T.A.C.
