Family
I have gotten so into card-making lately that I had forgotten that scrapping was the real reason why I got started in this hobby. Over the past few months i'd tried to pick it back up again, but it seemed I had lost the mojo. Yesterday I was looking at this picture of my husbands sister and her family and I got inspired ! I'm feeling so good about this one that I think i'll go send some pictures out to be developed!

Gotta Love-em, Rub Ons
I made these samples of some ways to use rub-ons to show the ladies at my last class. I must admit that I had stayed far away from rub-ons until S-U started carrying them. Then I had to get them cuz i'm a demonstrator. I thought i'll just buy one pack to show people, but after compleating these projects with great ease i'm LOVING them !! I must also throw in here that last year when the glass etching came out at SCS I bought all the stuff and demonstrated it at a class- what a mess !!! I achieved basically the same look on the candle holder, alot easier and cheaper !!!

My Baby's Gonna Be Seven
I can't believe my little baby is gonna be seven soon. I'm sort of in denial about my kids getting older, like I assumed that they would stay sweet babies forever ! Anyway Micah is kind of miffed that I keep making things with this knight set from Sweet N' Sassy Stamps, but none of them were for him. He knew his birthday was coming up so every time he say a new knight card he would ask me if it was his birthday card. So this one is his ! All my boys love this stamp set. I caught Jeremiah pulling my blue knight card out of my card box and sitting with it just looking with a little smile on his face. I wish I had taken a picture ! Anyway, I know Micah will love this and I hope you enjoy too !

Two Challenges in One
Julee at Poetic Artistry always comes up with the coolest sketches, I try to do them every week. I also wanted to do Marlou's challenge at Scrapping with Love, because she is the sweetest person, always encouraging others with her kind comments. BUT, i've been very unmotivated and busy with other things. So today I eeked out this card and combined the two challenges, Julee's sketch with Marlou's requirements. You still have time to check out both of these blogs and participate !

Song Birds
I have had these flowers for quite some time and haven't used them. The reason being , if you hadn't noticed , i'm fanatical about everything matching perfectly. If it's even a shade off I won't use it. So no mater how many times I tried to use these beautiful flowers they just never matched ! So today I decided that I was going to use them no matter what. So I designed my whole card around them, digging through all my DP and papers to find things that matched. Well, this is the outcome, hope you enjoy it !

Mojo Challenge
I don't know where I saw this color combination at, but I love it. Mostly because it got me away from soft sky and blue bayou, which I love, but I can't seem to make a card with any other colors ! So one card is Julee's awesome sketch, and the other just because I go to liking these colors. If you have time and need some inspiration you really should try these challenges, this week julee is giving away free brand new stamps sets to two lucky winners ! Which I might add are fabulous stamps, I had to refrain myself and buy only one, with my honey's valentine blessing, but I wanted them ALL !!!

Limited supply challenge at SCS
I decided that I would make an effort to do the weekly challenges at Split Coast. I'm going to need a lot of inspiration if i'm going to send birthday and anniversary cards to everyone in our church ! So here's the first one. The challenge was to use only one color family. Mine is the new "in colors" . I embossed the butterflies with irredescent ice, but in the spirit of "limited supplies" I didn't use craft ink. I inked my stamp with versamark, then went right into the soft sky, then sponged Blue Bayou on the edges of the wings with a sponge dauber, then stamped and embossed ! You can emboss this way without having craft inks. The butterfly stamp is retired S-U and the beautiful verse is Sweet n' Sassy Stamps !

A SALT challenge and a Lotta Love for our Troops !
Well, I had been thinking of the theme for this month's SALT blog challenge, and it talked about our hearts being where our treasure is , Jesus said "lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven , where neither moth nor rust doth corrupt, and where thieves do not break through and steal" So I had been trying to think of ways to make my stamping more profitable in an heavenly sense when I saw Allison at stamping when I can post a challenge to make cards for our troops. The site is called cardsforheroes.org and they are sponsoring a challenge called with love from the home front. So I invited our church ladies to help me. I was so pleased with their willingness to participate, many were beginners or had never stamped ! Nancy (the pretty one in the green shirt!) from Inkcicles helped me get them all started and they turned out some great cards ! I pray that these cards will help convey our love for our soldiers. God Bless the U.S.A. !

New Rubber from Sweet N' Sassy !
The Knight in Shining Armor set has been out for a while, But I just got my hands on it ! Sweet n' Sassy is the first DT i've ever worked for so I must admit that I felt some fear and pressure that I wouldn't be able to come up with something suitable. But once I started working with this set all that melted away and I am very pleased with the results ! I hope you like it as well, and if you haven't checked out Sweet N' Sassy Stamps in a while you better head on over there and check out all the new bling and papers and ribbons and stamps and .... well, you get the point !

Beate's weekend sketch challenge is Back !
This year I want to work harder at using the talents and abilities that God has given me to encourage and uplift the people around me ! Since I am a pastor's wife these Bible verse stamps from Sweet N' Sassy Stamps are coming in handy ! Beate came back with a great layout for us this week, and I used a tutorial that I saw at memystampsandi.blogspot.com for the ribbon flower embelishment. Hope you enjoy and are inspired !

Mojo Monday Challenge
If you need a little encouragement to got back into the swing of things after the holidays head on over to
Poetic Artistry and try Julee's mojs sketch challenge ! She always has the coolest layouts to really get your mojo flowing ! This week I used Sweet n' Sassy's Trust in the Lord stamp set for the sentiments, which I know i've been using a lot, but it's my favorite. Korin's got lots of other cool stamps, and two new releases so go check them out ! The paper is Scarlets Letter by Basic Grey, and the flower is S-U. I gamsoled and markered two sets of the flowers and popped one up off the paige. It's hard to tell, but the flower center had black sparkly stickles on it.

I'm a Sweet N' Sassy Design Team Member !
I am so pleased to announce that I have been asked to join the Sweet N' Sassy design team ! Korin is such a sweet and talented person, I was thrilled when she asked me. This cards sentiment is from her Trust in the Lord stamp set, paired with some Paper Tray flowers. It has been a desire of my heart to be on a design team. I praise God for giving me this opportunity and I hope you will enjoy and be truly inspired by these creations.
